RIVM and the Municipal Public Health Service (GGD) have developed communication tools that you can use when providing information to patients. Materials in other languages are available as well.
Information for care facilities
Scabies outbreaks in care facilities can be very troublesome. The facility itself bears primary responsibility for stopping the spread of scabies and treating affected patients. You can request help from the GGD. The GGD will then advise you on the measures you should take, such as:
- identifying those with symptoms;
- additional diagnostics, if necessary;
- hygiene and treatment recommendations.
