COHESIVE: One Health Structure in Europe. COHESIVE is part of the One Health European Joint Programme (EJP). COHESIVE aims to develop sustainable One Health approaches for signalling, surveillance, assessing and controlling zoonoses at the national and regional level within EU (European Union) countries and across borders.
Zoonoses are infections that are naturally transmissible directly or indirectly between animals and humans. Domestic animals, farm animals, wild animals or rodents such as mice and rats, who may or may not be affected themselves, carry zoonotic diseases.
