RIVM contributes to the safe use of nanomaterials through research, alerts and policy consultations, and this work is demonstrated in a short informative film.

RIVM collects information in Risks of Nanotechnology Knowledge and Information Centre KIR in order to gain insight into the health risks of nanomaterials for humans and the environment as quickly and efficiently as possible. RIVM also adapts knowledge towards innovation, for instance by screening technological developments at an early stage and identifying potential risks as required.

RIVM itself also executes studies into the risks of nanotechnology, and we supports various ministries and the EU European Union (European Union) in policy efforts in the area of the safety of nanomaterials.

Film is to be seen at right column or on our nanotechnology webpage.
