Introduction
The Dutch Food Composition Database (NEVO) contains data on the nutritional composition of approximately 2800 foods. NEVO is owned by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports and managed and maintained by the RIVM. An advisory committee, representing expert NEVO users and suppliers of nutrient data, assist the RIVM
NEVO Foundation
Until the first of July 2007 NEVO was managed by The NEVO Foundation. This Foundation arose from two committees – the Uniform Coding of Food Consumption Surveys (UCV: Uniforme Codering van Voedingsenquêtes) and the Dutch Food Composition Table (NVT: Nederlandse Voedingsmiddelentabel) of the Nutrition Council. The database management was located at TNO in Zeist. The NEVO foundation was disbanded on December 31st 2010. The term NEVO remains the same.
